“The simplification of life is one of the steps to inner peace. A persistent simplification will create an inner and outer well-being that places harmony in one’s life.” Peace Pilgrim
“Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.” Wayne Dyer
It may sometimes feel like bringing just a little more inner peace and calmness into your life is a hopeless wish. But it doesn't have to be that way.
Now is now. But if something negative from the past – something someone said, something someone did – is still on your mind then accept and let that feeling and thought in instead of trying to push it away.
When you accept that it is then it starts to lose power. And while the facts may still be there in your head the negative feelings become a lot less powerful.
At this point, let that thing go like you are throwing out a bag of old clothes. And direct your focus to the present moment and something better instead.
Don’t procrastinate anymore. Solve your problem and release it and all the underlying stress and tension that it is creating in your life.
You probably already know what to do, you are just not doing it yet. But the longer you wait the worse the tension inside becomes.
So get up from your chair and get started on doing it for just 1-3 minutes right now.
When stressed, lost in a problem or the past or future in your mind breathe with your belly for two minutes and just focus on the air going in and out. This will calm your body down and bring your mind back into the present moment again.
What do you envision when you think of inner peace? How close is your life to that picture right now? Do you want to get it closer? Inner peace is a goal most people strive to reach. While some people seem to find it effortlessly, others struggle day in and day out to create any peace in their life, let alone the kind that comes from deep inside.
Although technical definitions vary, the general definition of inner peace is when your mind and spirit are in harmony. You are unfazed by stress and negativity and you lack fear, anxiety
worry. Hard to imagine, right? In this day and age when life is full of unpleasant surprises and uncertainty, is it a stretch to believe that inner peace is possible?
Finding Peace? It is possible, we are doing many things right now, like slowing down, spending time alone, reading & listening to our inner voice, angels & guides.
I realized that peace is always available, and like any desirable state of mind, it requires effort, even if that effort entails consciously choosing to be still.
Sure, our circumstances affect our mental state, but they don’t have to control them, not if we make tiny choices for our well-being. I look forward to our next Satsang Sunday Circle. Stay safe, be well, my friends.
Much Love & Light,
