“All systems of divination can be tools into another world. Join me as we explore one Tarot card each month to see how the Tarot can serve as a tool toward spiritual awakening and aligning with your personal sovereignty.”— Nikki Aggarwal
As I shuffled through my trusty Tarot deck, I held the following intention in my heart:
What card would serve the readers most in the 7th month of 2025?
Our result?...
The Star!
What a pleasure and gift to receive our second Major Arcana card since starting this series—especially one so layered with the potential for positivity. God knows we need it!
Note, however, that I used the word potential. All Tarot cards carry two kinds of potential energy—light and dark, empowered and wounded, positive and negative. Your experience of a card’s energy depends on how you interact with it, especially in how you exercise your free will.
So, let’s dive deeper into The Star to see what it wants to teach us for the month of July.
From a high-level perspective, The Star expresses the archetypal energy of Universal guidance. When you choose to align with its empowered energy, you are supported in any quest to develop your own unique, personal vision and understanding of your destiny as a member of a divine Universe.
On the other hand, when you align with the wounded or shadow energy of The Star, you may find yourself denying your talents and abilities, living in victim consciousness, or avoiding both inner and outer truths.
A big realization is that many of your choices are made on an unconscious level. Meaning: you (and all people) have programs, stories, filters, beliefs, and biases installed in your unconscious mind from family, friends, society, religion, etc.—often at such a young age that you weren’t able to question what you were taught to believe as truth.
However, this doesn’t get us off the hook when it comes to taking responsibility for our life experience. Once we reach the level of awareness that allows us to question those deeply seeded programs, it becomes our right and responsibility to do so. A big part of the awakening process involves moving through what can feel like endless cycles of introspection. This allows us to examine what’s deep inside, bring it to the light to be seen, question its purpose, determine whether it is helpful or harmful, and then choose to release what no longer serves us and replace it with what does.
And that’s where resistance to the energy of The Star can show up—that’s the potential shadow side of avoiding both inner and outer truths. Let’s be honest: the process of diving deep within to see what’s there, why it’s there, and replacing it with something else is not a walk in the park.
True inner work is not all love, light, sunshine, and rainbows. Much of it is messy, disconnected, painful, and complicated. Some moments can even feel like a metaphorical “death,” where you might question—Is this really all worth it? Can I just go back to how I used to be, when things were easier and more familiar? Would I have ever gotten myself into this if I had known what was involved?
If you’ve ever had such questions, please know it is normal. A beautiful thing about reconnecting with Truth as it comes from the Divine Source is that the Creator of all that is has no problem with us questioning anything. And you may have noticed—it’s a strong human tendency to question things, especially when we’re running the gauntlet of life and growing through a spiritual awakening full of tough moments.
So, for July, I invite and encourage you to embrace the empowered energy of The Star. As the world around us spirals into the unknown, as fear arises, and as the old energy of the collective tries to hold on a little longer, we’re each faced with a choice, not to ignore what’s happening, but to decide how we respond to it. Choosing where to place our focus isn’t about bypassing pain, injustice, or struggle. It’s about tending to our inner flame, so we have the strength and clarity to engage with the world in meaningful ways.
For me, that means consciously returning to clarity, light, and peace by surrendering to my intuitive guidance each day. It doesn’t mean I don’t feel the weight of the world; it means I’ve learned, through years of inner study and personal evolution, that the healing I do within ripples outward. Because I care for my inner world, I’m better equipped to stay informed, to show up for my community, and to contribute to collective healing in a grounded and sustainable way. What I’ve endured, survived, and alchemized becomes part of the greater frequency shift we’re all being called to support and the same goes for you!
And that’s what The Star wants us to realize: meaning, direction, and destiny are all found within—buried deep inside, like pearls of wisdom in the depths of the wounds we have experienced. You can invite your Higher Self to help you access the empowered energy of The Star, as it derives from the one Source.
This archetype wants to provide you with a continuous supply of intuitive, Universal guidance as you expand your service to the collective. And believe me—what you do to help yourself does serve the collective!
The energy of The Star partners with your soul as an ally on the path of self-healing and personal sovereignty. Giving you the tools to navigate building community and uplifting others in this ever-changing world.
Some questions to ask yourself when you see The Star:
Where do you feel like you are still struggling?
If you embraced the energy of hope, what might change in your life?
How good are you willing to let things get, even amidst the pain and suffering of others around you?
In the aftermath of dramatic change and divine intervention, how can you use your clearer and more accurate perspective to tap into your dreams and desires?
These questions are an invitation to dive deep into your psyche—to explore what is there that you want to keep, what you might want to adjust, and what you might want to release completely. Much of the process of growth, development, and ascension involves exploring the inner depths of our own minds so that we can excavate the gold that’s buried within and wash away the sediment that no longer belongs.
Think of inner inquiry like sifting for gold—because that’s exactly how I like to see it.
And if you need help, reach out. You can send a message through my website to request a connect call or schedule a Zoom reading. My goal is to help clients feel stronger, more self-empowered, and aligned with their personal sovereignty, while we witness how the changes they make inside themselves ripple outward to transform their outer world, too.
Remember: you deserve the best of what you can give yourself.
Peace and blessings to you and yours. In loving light, I look forward to exploring next month’s card for July 2025! ✨
